How old should my baby be?
Very, very young….I strongly recommend doing the session when the baby is barely a week old – preferably not beyond 2 weeks old. This is stage when they are very still and so much easier to take pictures of, not to mention the age when their first features can be brilliantly recorded.
Where is the photography done?
I have a specially adapted studio at our villa in Umm Suqeim 2. Not only will you feel very relaxed and comfortable here but should you have other, older kids, I have a wide selection of toys to keep them entertained!
What are the timings?
I usually book newborn session between 9am and 12am…obviously your delivery date is never certain, so I always keep a couple of slots free each week for late bookings.
How long does it last?
At least 2 hours.
What clothing is required?
Best to dress the baby with minimal clothing for the first pictures. Nappy and nothing else is fine. I have a range of specially imported props such as beds, hats and bowls to work with.
Can the rest of the family join in?
Absolutely, I strongly recommend a few family shots as part of the session.
What if the baby doesn’t want to be photographed?
At this age it is unlikely but if the baby is extremely unsettled we can always reschedule for the next day or two (I will find time), and if it still doesn’t work don’t worry, there will be no charge. My advice is to make sure the baby is fed an hour before the session.
How many pictures will I get?
Ten days after the studio session you will be sent a link from which to preview 20-30 edited pictures and make your purchase choices. Once you let us know, we will arrange for delivery of the USB and collection of payment at the same time. You will also be sent details of various framing options.
