Where do sessions take place?
We prefer the open beach near Umm Suqeim Park, largely because it provides an excellent backdrop with the Burj Al Arab and sea. It is also close to our studios should you want to combine the session. However, depending on your location and setting we can consider coming to you.
What are the timings?
These sessions rely on natural light and the sun not being directly overhead, which makes the ideal time around 8am. Any later than 10am is extremely difficult. It is of course also weather dependent, with peak summer months too uncomfortable for an outdoor shoot.
What should we wear?
Whatever you like! The key is to feel comfortable, preferably with light coloured comfortable clothing. Quite a bit of time is likely to be spent bare foot on the sand, and kids are sure to do a lot of jumping around, so it is worth bringing a change of clothing for the journey home.
How long does it take?
Kids are more playful outdoors so the session can keep going for longer than in the studio, with 90 minutes the average length.
When do I get the images?
Ten days after the studio session you will be sent a link from which to preview the pictures and make your purchase choices. Once you let us know, we will arrange for delivery of the USB and collection of payment at the same time. You will also be sent details of various framing options.
